Today I read the book, Hooray For Me! to the class. It is about how unique each of us is and that no one will every be just like you. Each person is 100% original.
This prompted a discussion about our unique qualities; hair, eyes, smile, walk etc... We talked about self-portraits and how to look at yourself to find the unique qualities you possess. This led to pulling out mirrors and really looking at our features, especially the eyes. Pretty soon we were drawing our own eyes and comparing the eyes of our classmates. We found that many people in our class have green eyes and that the brown eyes come in different shades from caramel colored to dark chocolate!
